Carlo Scarpa : architecture et vitrail

Organizers: Vitrocentre & Vitromusée Romont, Fondazione Giorgio Cini

The international conference focusses on the stained glass production of the influential Italian architect and designer Carlo Scarpa (1906–1978), a major figure in 20th-century architecture and glass art. The contributions by Swiss and Italian specialists will examine Scarpa’s approach towards this medium by comparing his aesthetic explorations of the 1920s and 1930s with the work of important Swiss stained glass artists of the 20th century
