Stained Glass in Geneva from 1945 onwards

The history of stained glass in Geneva is a fascinating one. Following the publication in 2008 of the book Emotion(s) en lumière: le vitrail à Genève, the need for completing the catalogue raisonné with contemporary stained glass became obvious. The period from 1945 up to the present day has been highly productive for both religious and secular stained glass in Geneva. It not only provides the opportunity to explore innovative techniques but also to discover artists and ateliers of outstanding quality. Some 800 windows have been realised since 1945, and even now, work is in progress or planned for several new projects.

Project in collaboration with the APAS (Association pour la promotion de l’art sacré).
